Helpless

Helpless is an ongoing embroidery project that was begun on a snowy night in 2010 in Montréal Canada when Crybaby  was produced. Due to the labor-intensive nature of the production, the works from Helpless sometimes take years of casual work to be complete. Each work features wild animals in various states of distress. Conceptually, this makes a statement about animal threatened protection conservation in addition to leading the viewer to connect to these scenes to their own emotional extremes. At the end of the day, no matter how ornately one frames it, we are all simply animals.
